Methodology & Indices

How we calculate the Overall Development Index (ODI)

The 6 Pillars of Development

The Overall Development Index (ODI) is a composite score calculated out of 100. It is designed to reflect the true ground reality of a citizen's life.

Unlike traditional metrics that focus solely on GDP, the ODI gives equal importance to the factors that directly impact human well-being: Health, Education, Environment, Safety, Infrastructure, and Economy.

By dynamically aggregating data from verified Government of India portals and International Bodies, we ensure that the index remains unbiased, transparent, and accurate.
